What an utterly joyous month. A lot happened. I started a new job; a signed a contract on a new flat. I spent some beautiful weekends by the sea. There was sun and football and aperol spritzes and a return to the pub and faces I hadn’t seen without a screen in between for a very long time.
favourite book: A Simple Passion by Annie Ernaux, about becoming deranged in love, very relatable
favourite film: Soviet made-for-TV Lord of the Rings; no subtitles, no need for them. Astonishing
favourite television: Much like the rest of the nation I am addicted to Line of Duty Season 6, indeed it is i fact the only television I watched
favourite podcast: Ear Hustle, stories from prison by prisoners recommended by someone in my abolition reading group
favourite art: I got to see some actual art! Rachel Whiteread at the Gagosian
